The Voyagers Program (K-8)

The Voyagers program is a 30 week program  for K-8th grade students that is divided into the Trailblazers, Navigators and Surveyors. 

 

 
Trailblazers (Kindergarten - 2nd grade)

Program Details

        In a 3 hour weekly morning session, students will learn about various events and people in history through hands-on activities.  The focus of this program is to provide students with an unhurried group setting where exploring and connecting ideas is the key.  This class will offer studies in Nature Science, Poetry, Art and Music Appreciation, Geography, Foreign Language Exploration, and Drama as well as physical activity, crafts and projects. 

 
 
Navigators (3rd - 5th grade)

Program Details

           This program consists of a 3 hour morning session and optional afternoon session. Home study will be reinforced through group activities.  The morning session will address the subjects of History, Geography, Literature, Grammar, Writing, and Science.  The optional afternoon session will give students a chance to explore a Foreign Language or receive instruction in writing techniques. No formal math instruction is offered through this program. 

Core Curriculum includes: Mystery of History, Literature Studies, Apologia Elementary Science


Surveyors (6th - 8th grade)  


Program Details

This program focuses on helping students transition into the independent learners they need to become in order to experience successful high school years.  As students follow the chronological timeline in the Mystery of History, emphasis is placed on related literature, writing proficiency, grammar practice and presentation skills, Through the further exploration of Latin, a stronger basis for high school foreign language study is formed.  Apologia Science textbooks are also used to better prepare students for more difficult high school subjects in this same series.
